Totally Biased Fan’s Review – Susan Lily – Butterfly

SUSANThis is a much belated review. This album is everything that country music should be. A lovely sample of what is best in Australian Country Music. The soft, lilting voice of Susan Lily, beautifully penned, exquisitely executed, uniquely crafted product of the genre. Susan’s genuine gift of beauty and light is transpired in this wonderful album.
Every song is a winner. It is true country style, no frills, straight up, in your face country music. Easy on the ear, mellow on the heart, every song is tender, sweet and heartfelt.
It pains me when so many wonderful people like Susan get overlooked for bubblegum crap like Swift and co. This is country at its very best, not fabricated, just genuine ballad and twang.
Love every song, but particular Not Today, Forever, Broken and Miss you much. The songs are honest country songs, with broken hearts, drinking problems, autobiographical moments and memories of days gone by and what the future holds.
As long as we have the likes of Susan Lily in this country, then we are in
good shape
